    - Tatela flowers are used for making mala, a garland for Puja purposes. It is used mainly in the Janko ceremony of Newar culture.
    - Tatela flowers are also known as Shyonak, Sona Patha, Oroxylum Indicum.

    - Paste of its seeds can be used to treat wounds, boils and constipation.
